Founded in 2024 by medical professionals, students, and social workers who saw a critical gap, quality healthcare was simply out of reach for millions in rural Nepal.
2024 - Founded
A small idea, a big mission
A dedicated group began running community health camps in limited locations, driven by a shared belief that geography should never determine health outcomes.
Growth
A movement takes shape
Momentum built quickly. Volunteers, institutions, and healthcare professionals joined in. Consistent outreach, local stakeholder collaboration, and a strong service ethic turned a small initiative into a nationwide movement.
Today
5+ wings. 150+ members. 77 districts.
What began as a handful of health camps now spans the entire country with multiple chapters across medical schools and a growing network of active volunteers.
What we do now
NHAFN is one of Nepal's emerging health-focused NGOs, running free health camps, delivering mental health awareness, organising RMNCAH initiatives, advancing NCD and cancer research, promoting dermatological care, and championing health sustainability. Our work reaches every district, with one goal: healthcare accessible to all, regardless of geography or socioeconomic status.
NHAFN registered as a formal NGO with its first founding members and core team.
Organized first free health camp in Sindhuli, serving 500+ patients in one weekend.
Four specialized wings (Dermatology, Mental Health, RMNCAH, ER) formally established.
Chapters in medical schools, 77 districts covered, 24,000+ patients served and growing.
